Melamine (С3Н6N6) – colorless crystals; practically insoluble in cold water and in the majority of organic solvents.
Melamine is a valuable component in ecologically pure compounds, such as plastics, varnishes and glues, as well as it has the key value for paints, varnishes and woodworking industry: it is used in production of melamine-formaldehyde resins, ion exchange resins, tanners, hexachloromelamine used for production of dyes and herbicides.
Melamine is used in the furniture industry for production of decorative coating for large-sized surfaces (particle boards or MDF/HDF).
